Family Medicine
At Shellharbour Doctors, we provide services to the whole family with an emphasis on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle promotion. Your family doctor plays an important part in helping manage your family’s health and well being.

Women’s Health
We provide breast examinations, Cervical Screening Tests (previously known as Pap smears), and Antenatal Shared Care with Wollongong Hospital. We also offer support for perinatal anxiety and depression, as well as family planning advice and referrals. In addition, we provide sexual health information.

Immunisation
We provide childhood immunisations as per schedule, as well as catch-up immunisations through the NSW school-based program. We also offer travel immunisations (privately purchased by the patient) and government-funded immunisations such as the flu vaccine.

Mental Health
Mental health care is a passion for our practice and we encourage you to see one of our caring GPs for an appointment to help you in your journey.

Medicals & Workers Compensation Consultations
We provide pre-employment medicals (fees apply), return to work planning, and WorkCover consultations.

Health Assessment for over 75’s
To identify any health issues and to optimise quality of life, a comprehensive annual health check is recommended for all people aged over 75. This assessment test may include lifestyle assessment, mobility observation, medication review, nutrition review, exercise review & recommendations, observing and arranging safety in the home measures, care arrangements and support networks.

Chronic Disease and GP Managed Care Plans
Comprehensive and individualised care plans can ensure that the goals to achieve optimal health are managed along with all aspects of chronic diseases. We provide GP managed care for chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, arthritis, chronic pain and other diseases via a customised healthcare plan. Some care plan patients are eligible for referral to allied health providers at a subsidised cost.

Our clinic is equipped to perform small scale procedures, saving you a trip to the hospital for minor injuries and ailments.

Pathology
We have onsite pathology services available 6 days a week providing leading comprehensive medical laboratory and general pathology services. They perform tests that enable the treating doctor to prevent illness, diagnose disease, guide treatment pathways, monitor disease progression and eventually to confirm patient recovery.

Sports Medicine
Our sports medicine programme helps athletes recover and manage their injuries and ailments. Whether you’re dealing with tennis elbow or a soccer injury, we can help immediately and in the longer term.
